Troop 609 is year-round, all-weather, and has a very active outdoors program with a variety of trips and activities throughout the year, including backpacking, car camping, hiking and others. (see some pictures from our recent adventures/historian page).  

We are part of Scouting America (Boy Scouts of America) in the Western Los Angeles County Council, Bill Hart District. Founded in 1970, we are chartered by the First Presbyterian Church of Newhall.
