**Twelve Months of THE BEAST Local Day Hike

We started this in 2020 but halted when the pandemic hit...and now back by request of Scouts and Adults is the 12 Months of the Beast.  These are conditioning hikes to stay/get/improve in shape on a local trail.  About 8 miles round trip, but with a 2,000' gain in elevation, about 5 hours round trip if we relax at the top.

Meet at the Park-n-Ride trailhead on Newhall Avenue just under Hwy 14 ("Elsmere Canyon Trailhead on Google Map")

May 11th is 7:00am.  Some are Saturdays, some are Sundays, some are afternoons while summer dates tend to be mornings.

Bring hiking gear and snacks.  There is a restroom and benches at the top.

As always, we go all-weather.  There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.  (Except for lightning...we don't hike with lightning).
